Things to Do

Here’s our Outpost guide to nearby trails, locale faves and other things to do along the way.
Gilchrist Blue Springs Loop
10 minutes away

This short 1.5-mile loop trail in Gilchrist Blue Springs State Park offers lush forests, vibrant springs, a 350-year-old cypress, and wildlife sightings. Dogs are welcome on leash—just not in the water. Arrive early; parking is limited and there is a park entry fee.

Branford Farm Stand
30 minutes away

Head to The Farm Stand for some of the freshest produce in North Florida, and stick around for activities for the whole family, including seasonal U-Pick— strawberries and flowers in spring and summer, and pumpkins in the fall. The tacos and homemade ice cream at the restaurant are not to be missed.

High Springs Brewing Company
14 minutes away

Try some local brews at the family-owned and -operated purveyor of hand-crafted beverages.

FAQ

Is there cell phone reception at the cabins?

Because of the secluded nature of our locations, cell phone service may be a little spottier than normal. You may not get any reception at all—if this is the case, embrace the opportunity to unplug and relax. Each of the cabins is equipped with a landline for calls to the Postcard Cabins team or to 911 in case of emergency.

Is there a designated area to park?

In most cases, you can feel free to park right next to your cabin. Other sites will have designated parking spaces about 150 feet away from each cabin.

Are other cabins around?

Yes, all of our locations feature dozens of private cabins. We work hard to make sure each cabin has its own space, but expect to see other cabins on the land.

How does the water supply work?

Most of our locations are connected to a city water supply. However, at some of our Eastern Catskills cabins, water is more limited, with around 150 gallons available per stay. With mindful use, this should last you about four nights. Please note that hot water is limited in all cabins, providing about five minutes of use per shower, with a 30-minute regeneration time between uses.

Is the water drinkable/potable?

Yes, the water is drinkable/potable.

Can I set up a tent near my cabin?

To maintain the peaceful atmosphere and ensure privacy for all our guests, we kindly ask that tents not be set up near cabins.
