Since our founding, we’ve been focused on slowing down, investing in the relationships that matter most and finding respite from the always-on world. With Postcard Cabins, we’re building on that foundation to create experiences that feel, well, picture-perfect.
We're proud of what we’ve achieved and excited to continue this journey under our new name, which embodies our goal of providing idyllic, nature-filled stays that offer the kind of beauty and simplicity you’d find in a postcard.

Our Story
Postcard Cabins' founder, Jon Staff, grew up in rural northern Minnesota, spending most of his childhood outdoors. After a demanding startup job left him burned out, Jon longed for the role nature played in his childhood. He quit and left the city behind in an Airstream trailer, seeking reflection.
While traveling, Jon discovered how essential time in nature was to his well-being, productivity, and happiness. Inspired, in the summer of 2015 Jon and his college buddy Pete Davis launched what was then Getaway. With 29 locations across the U.S., Postcard Cabins offers simple escapes to nature within two hours of major cities—inviting guests to savor their free time, find balance through disconnection and enjoy the company of those who matter most.
